National Breastfeeding Month is just around the corner, and with that comes celebrations events throughout our community. As a member of the Breastfeeding Coalition of Cumberland County, I will be helping the coalition to put on the annual World Breastfeeding Week celebration sponsored by the coalition on August 5th.
This year, our community fair will feature a myriad of breastfeeding supportive nonprofit and for profit organizations from across the area. Each organization will have a theme and will be providing education and information on that theme during the event. It is a super fun event that is family friendly. From giveaway bags to door prizes and information from all of the breastfeeding supportive groups throughout our county, this event is a great way to kick off National Breastfeeding Month and show your support for the community while learning about a wide variety of topics related to breastfeeding!
This event will be held at the Cape Fear Valley Health Rehabilitation Center, Room A, in Fayetteville located at 1638 Owen Drive. The event begins at 9:30am and ends at noon. If you are planning to participate in The Big Latch On, please arrive no later than 10:00am so that you can register and receive your instructions for the event. It will begin precisely at 10:30am sharp.
As I mentioned in my previous blog about this summer's community events, I will have a table at this celebration and will be giving away a free gift to all my readers and clients! Be sure to RSVP to my fun summer events and you will be able to receive your free gift when you stop by my table. You will be able to choose between a couple different items!
If you would like to volunteer with the Breastfeeding Coalition of Cumberland County, you can email me at email@example.com and I will get you connected to our group and let you know when the next meeting is happening.
As always, we thank you all for your support of the community and your commitment to breastfeeding families in Cumberland County.
See you August 5th!
