Thanksgiving is a time filled with family.
We spend time together, we bond, we eat, we make memories. We look forward to spending the day preparing a meal that is full of traditions. Aunt Bea's green beans. Mom's potatoes. Grandma's secret recipe for the best pumpkin cheesecake you've ever tasted. We sit together and talk about our many blessings, and we eat and reflect on what the year has taught us.
Somewhere, though, are doctors, nurses, and midwives who had to leave dinner early. They had to say their goodbyes and go to work, because babies are a 365 day a year job.
They understand the importance of their job. And they will continue to miss these holidays as long as babies are being born.
We understand. And we are thankful for their hard work and dedication. We appreciate everything that they sacrifice to be there for the families that need them.
